Glittery Pink Cassie Candle! Eeep!

I have been slightly obsessed with the UK version of Skins if you can't tell. I have a ton more to blog about but I have been really caught up with school and trying to keep my sanity. I haven't made a dress in
a few weeks or so. Not to mention I got one horrible feedback that wasn't even true, I talked with the guy for a week straight turns out he was new to etsy and just angry. Yay! I got to be his first "I don't know what else to do but get angry and be completely unreasonable". Kinda sucks, and I think it has a lot to do with my low sales and my ambition to get back at it. I know it should be the opposite but the feedback did really hurt my feelings and I was surprised when after offering him a one dollar bow with no shipping fee, sending his t-shirt back (since the whole thing was actually the post office's fault) all at no extra charge but the one dollar so he could leave a positive feedback. When he did it made no mention of the last review he posted and it wasn't as ...positive as I thought it would be. Oh well, what else am I gonna do with all of these lemons? I better get in the sewing room right? Wrong. A friend of mine had some personal shit happen and now he is staying with me-yes in my sewing room!!! I'm okay with it of course, he's been a good friend since high school, but I do miss my oasis away from Brian and everyone else in the world.
Since I am not working on my big projects outside of school, I have been doing little ones like this. I think I would have made the candle a little more decorative, but I was tired after a long day of casting actors for our class's final scenes we will be directing. It's a lot of work meeting a new person every 15 minutes!
But now it is the weekend, and I have some motivation!! I am going to have a real model!! I mean all of my girls are real, duh. But I guess what I mean to say is professional. We met at the rookie meetup, her facebook icon is of her with a flower crown. I'm sure we will get along perfectly! But that means I need to get some work done. I just wanted to pop in and say "I still think about you guys!" And maybe this candle decorating will inspire you to make something of your own :)

Glittered Candle, printed out Cassie picture, floral paper and my hello kitty scissors

Would've done it like this, next time!

I've kept magazines around for two solid reasons. Inspiration and collages!

Also made a Sid candle, I'll have to find that picture.

i'm going to try to post daily now.....

so something that no one knows about me until they come into my house is that i am a thief. i am a thief of salt and pepper shakers. yes lock me up i take them from everywhere, my new favorite one is from denny's. i have one for every event but have lost track. i have labeled the important ones and they are everywhere int he house. so i have three spice racks and that is still not enough to hold them all. this although looks clear because we moved out of the pantry room ( 5 ft by 9.5 ft) and into a real room where i have many ledges to put them on. my room mates are happy because i know they have been wanting to throw all of them out. so to make them happy i changed a bunch of them to shakers for other herbs and spices. there you go. that's that.
my family's greek friends gave me a gift for christmas, and wrote my name in greek. okay sometimes i'm a hoarder, which you could probably already tell by my shaker collection , but even some of my family can't spell my name right let alone in greek.
the white cat shaped figure on the top is not a pepper shaker it is actually a perfume bottle from the 60's.
skull glasses rule school, some more pepper shakers as you can see. i like pepper more than salt so that's usually what i take. a little coozy from the first person i sent a dress to, i gave her a mix tape and she sent one back with the coozy. i love presents. dinosaurs and cats. picture in the back of my dad, pat martino, and me on my dad's birthday. my big bow ring, skull cameo ring.
best .99 cent record, Amadeus, and all of the other classical records you find in the dollar bin at ameoba. the little soldier is from my grandpa. i hadn't seen him in a really long time before visiting him again and he gave me this because when i was 2 and visiting him, i wouldn't stop carrying it around and would cry without it. the ring is my grandmother's college ring, university of arkansas '79 with a BA in Art. she's cool. the ring is on top of a paris music box i got when guess what? ..we were in paris! it plays la vie en rose. the picture is of my sister , she is drawing a comic about the annoying brother (based on our brother) more bugs and dinosaurs

this just makes me really happy. this is about the time i had the pink liberty spikes i talked about in the previous post, where i had cut up t-shirts even my blink/ green day pop disaster tour !!!! this queers show was funny because there weren't that many people there, but a lot of old punks and they didn't like me. i wasn't much of a mosher at 14, i was more of a dancer. so i think they were a little pissed my my vibe. but like i said not many people were there so i was singled out, the guys grabbed me at one point and tried to get me to join in the mosh. i fucking hate it when people do that. i don't give a fuck if you don't think i'm hardcore. i just came here to have fun, and not exactly with you. right under those two you can see the steve ignorant playing crass ticket. this was a fun one. ah hem....
so in a nut shell.....
i am in a band called statutory apes. people hate us because of our name, but have no problem telling us they love our music, but since we refuse to change our name, the p.s. bullshit san francisco punk community has taken to boycott us. (fuck you)
people have said things like "oh well there is a girl in the band , so that's cool"
or
"i love your music but i hate your name"
or
"you guys are just dumb, like whenever we try to ask you about you , your reasoning isn't good enough"
what does this have to do with this show? i'll tell ya kids,
this show was protested by the same people that hate us and boycott us, and basically started a bandwagon of assholes that feel like they can dictate what goes on in the punk community. fuck you who the fuck are you tell me that i can't do something? ya your punk as fuck, give me more rules, dick.
anyways steve ignorant says "fuck em i'll take every damn one of em"
ohhhhh i have a tape idea....
stories to everything i guess
got these from people and places in france. would have had more if i had not lost them or had them stolen. (if you have my mona lisa smoking a cigar lighter, please give it back)
pretty floral and pink polkadot.

I always have to post the same picture twice. sorry i don't know how to fix it.
my favorite tape player. but can't use it.... you'll see

due to this feature where you can listen to chipmunk like sounds, i forever hear music as a chipmunk would. it's broken on that setting. not like that when i bought it, just happened one day. bummer!
Elvis coasters
puffy barbie stickers, got on a road trip

this is when allison and i went to paris. not! it was the day after my birthday and we were still wasted so we kept it up and listened to french music. i drew this on the window with dry erase to make us feel better about it. cause we couldn't leave the bed all day.

our miller high light
it was my birthday and i had to act like a 5 year old brat and set up all of my presents.
the shirt and the hat my friend allison made for me and the back massager, which is the sweetest present. my body is ache ville after 12 hours of sewing. jamie got me the judy garland record. two mix tapes from friends and my favorite crass record, penis envy. an awesome knitted doll from my room mate annette, red velvet cake from my liquor store lady, a beyonce cd i bought for myself and a song my other room mate , Lauren wrote for me. It was super sweet, and made me feel on top of the world. like someone knew me and appreciated the things that make up me. She's such a sweet wonderful person i love it when she comes home drunk from jazz shows and wants to smoke cigarettes with me. it's pretty sweet.
kick ass doll made by annette and fake check from my buddy billy

the sweetest scissors in the world from brian
the tape i made of lauren's song.
my beyonce cd. i couldn't afford the deluxe. bummer!

brian and i moved rooms, so we're not in the pantry anymore. we have a real room! i have room to sew now! in the process of putting things away i was too into all of the sun coming in the room and a bag of t-shirts i have been meaning to cut up. so needless to say, i spent the rest of the day putting these tops together. it was hard cutting up that blink green day shirt. i got that when i was 14 when i saw them in oakland. it was really funny because at the time i was going through my ripping up clothes thing and i wore my p.e. pants that i turned into a skirt and i can't remember what kind of top but probably ripped up. i had short pink hair and i had liberty spikes formed by a combination of wood and glitter glue (that fucked my hair up so bad) i also had a shit load of ballchain and chain that i wrapped around my neck (not proud) and dark eyeliner. i was a loser. but some lady that worked for a news shows though i was interesting and wanted to interview me and asked me about my outfit. i was down but then she started asking me if the way i dressed had anything to do with my teen angst or how i felt about my parents. i told her i just felt the prettiest that way.

dressing up a bit.

I started my big long month with a custom dress for a fellow blogger, Cassidy. i had to get it together in 3 days, and after 3 fittings it came out perfectly! It fit her like a glove. She chose the fabric based on a design she had seen of mine while I was having a street sale. It was great, I didn't sell anything that day but I got co-missioned to make this dress, and it was worn for a photo shoot for a local bike company (thing???) and she wore the dress to an event in Florida.
